Description
An easy and quick homemade pizza dough made with just self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. This soft and chewy crust comes together in minutes without yeast, making it perfect for busy weeknight pizza nights.
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Sliced turkey pepperoni or preferred halal toppings
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking tray or pizza pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Stir until a rough dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 4 to 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add a little extra flour if sticky.
- Roll the dough into a 12 to 13-inch circle or rectangle depending on your pan.
- Place the dough on the prepared baking tray. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add turkey pepperoni or desired toppings.
- Brush the crust edges with olive oil for a golden finish.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, cool for 2 minutes, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Use whole wheat self-rising flour for a healthier variation.
- The dough is best used immediately after mixing.
- Add extra flour gradually if the dough feels too sticky.
- Mini personal pizzas can be made by dividing the dough into smaller portions.
- Store leftover pizza in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in a skillet or oven to maintain crispness.
