Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan and cook until browned and nutty, then cool slightly.
  2. Mix brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add browned butter and stir until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla.
