Ingredients
- 4 cups frozen tater tots
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped pickles
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C and bake tater tots until golden and crispy.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook ground beef, breaking it apart.
- Season beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, then cook until browned.
- Remove tater tots from oven and slightly flatten each one.
- Place a small amount of beef on one flattened tot and top with cheese.
- Cover with another flattened tot to form a sandwich.
- Return assembled mini burgers to oven for about 5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Mix ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard to make sauce.
- Top mini burgers with diced onions, pickles, and sauce before serving.
Notes
- Press tater tots firmly to prevent burgers from falling apart.
- Use different cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for variation.
- Ground chicken or turkey can replace beef for a lighter option.
