Description

Flaky strawberry cheesecake turnovers filled with creamy vanilla cheesecake and sweet strawberry filling, baked to golden perfection and finished with a light glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 120 g cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 teaspoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, cook strawberries with cornstarch and water until thickened. Cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4–6 squares.
  5. Place cream cheese mixture in the center of each square and top with strawberry filling.
  6. Fold pastry into triangles and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Whisk egg and milk, then brush over turnovers.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm turnovers and serve.

Notes

  • Cool strawberry filling before assembling to prevent soggy pastry.
