Description

A comforting slow cooker casserole with tender pierogi, savory sausage, and a rich, creamy cheese sauce.


Ingredients

  • Frozen pierogi 500 g
  • Halal beef or chicken sausage 300 g sliced
  • Small onion 1 finely chopped
  • Shredded cheddar cheese 2 cups
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup
  • Cream of mushroom soup 1 can (300 ml)
  • Sour cream 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Garlic cloves 2 minced
  • Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
  • Parsley 1 tablespoon chopped optional

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogi on the bottom.
  3. Add half of the sausage and onion, then sprinkle some cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining pierogi, sausage, onion, and cheese.
  5. Mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
  6. Pour mixture evenly over layers.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  8. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.

  • Do not overcook to prevent drying out.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or peppers for variation.
  • Stir gently before serving if desired.
  • Store leftovers up to 3 days refrigerated.
