Description
Soft and fluffy homemade ring doughnuts fried to golden perfection and coated with a rich, glossy chocolate glaze.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (315 g)
- 1/4 cup sugar (50 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (7 g)
- 3/4 cup warm milk (180 ml)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (30 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar (120 g)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (25 g)
- 3–4 tablespoons milk (45–60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla, and mix into a soft dough.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into rings.
- Let shaped doughnuts rise for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil to 170–180°C and fry doughnuts 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
- Drain on paper towels and cool slightly.
- Mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, melted butter, and vanilla to make glaze.
- Dip doughnuts in glaze and let set before serving.

- Do not overcrowd pan while frying.
