Description

A soft and warm Italian-style flatbread filled with creamy mozzarella, fresh arugula, and savory halal turkey or chicken slices, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (250 g)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water (180 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 slices halal turkey or chicken deli slices
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella (120 g), sliced
  • 1 cup fresh arugula
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add olive oil and gradually add warm water while mixing.
  2. Knead until a soft dough forms, about 4–5 minutes.
  3. Cover and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Divide into 4 pieces and roll each into an 8-inch circle.
  5. Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side.
  6. Place turkey or chicken, mozzarella, and arugula on each warm flatbread.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle black pepper if desired.
  8. Fold in half and serve warm.
