Description
Golden and crispy peach fritters with a soft, fluffy interior, bursting with sweet juicy peaches and warm cinnamon flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar (optional glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (optional glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional glaze)
Instructions
- Peel and dice peaches, then set aside.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick batter.
- Fold in peaches gently.
- Heat oil to 175°C and drop spoonfuls of batter into oil.
- Fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over fritters if desired.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix batter to keep fritters light.
- Ensure oil is hot enough to avoid greasy fritters.
- Drain peaches if using canned.
- Best served fresh and warm.
- Can be dusted with powdered sugar instead of glaze.
