Description

These Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient French Dip Crescent Pockets are flaky, cheesy, and filled with savory halal roast beef. Baked until golden and served with warm au jus dipping sauce, they make a quick and comforting meal, snack, or party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • 8 slices halal roast beef deli meat
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, cut in half
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the au jus gravy mix according to package instructions and keep warm.
  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
  4. Place one half-slice of provolone cheese onto each crescent triangle.
  5. Add one slice of halal roast beef on top of the cheese.
  6. Roll each crescent triangle from the wide end toward the tip, enclosing the filling completely.
  7. Place the crescent pockets seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder or parsley if desired.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  10. Allow the pockets to cool for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve warm with au jus dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Thinly sliced halal roast beef works best for easy rolling.
  • Swiss, mozzarella, or white cheddar can replace provolone cheese.
  • Add sautéed onions or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes if preferred.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze baked or unbaked pockets for up to 2 months.
  • Serve with gravy, garlic butter, or extra au jus for dipping.
