Description

A soft and moist orange cake infused with fresh orange juice and zest, topped with light whipped cream for a refreshing and elegant dessert perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Extra orange zest for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in orange juice and zest.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk, mixing gently.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before removing from pan.
  9. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Spread whipped cream over cooled cake and garnish with orange zest.
