Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1 can crushed pineapple with juice (20 oz)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
- Mix cake mix, crushed pineapple with juice, eggs, and oil until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for about 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely in the pan.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread frosting over cooled cake.
- Sprinkle nuts on top if desired and serve.
