Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Wash, peel, and thinly slice sweet potatoes evenly.
  3. Place slices in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat.
  4. Mix oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle seasoning over sweet potatoes and toss evenly.
  6. Arrange slices in a single layer without overlapping.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip slices.
  8. Continue baking for 10–15 minutes until golden and crisp.
  9. Let cool slightly to crisp further, then serve.

Notes

  • Slice potatoes very thin (1–2 mm) for best crispiness.
  • Avoid overcrowding the tray for even baking.
  • Watch closely near the end to prevent burning.
  • Chips crisp more as they cool.
  • Reheat in oven to restore crunch if needed.
