Description

A quick and flavorful tomato basil garlic bread with crispy toasted slices, juicy tomatoes, melted mozzarella, and fresh basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 large baguette or Italian loaf, sliced
  • 23 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 23 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over each slice.
  4. Spread minced garlic evenly on each piece.
  5. Top with tomato slices.
  6. Add mozzarella cheese over tomatoes.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Bake for 10–15 minutes until bread is crisp and cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from oven and top with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Fresh basil gives the best flavor, but dried can be used.
  • Use firm tomatoes to prevent soggy bread.
