Ingredients
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 cup chopped chocolate or mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth, then freeze small portions for 20–30 minutes.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt, then combine with wet ingredients.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 175°C and line baking sheet.
- Flatten dough, place frozen filling in center, and seal into a ball.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with toffee and chocolate.
- Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Freeze filling to prevent melting during baking.
- Chill dough to avoid spreading.
- Seal dough completely to keep filling inside.
- Reheat briefly for gooey center.
