Description

A creamy and sweet orange creamsicle fudge with a smooth vanilla base and vibrant citrus swirl, creating a nostalgic and colorful bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 5 ounces evaporated milk
  • 2 cups white baking chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow fluff
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons orange extract
  • Orange gel food coloring (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Heat over medium until boiling.
  3. Once boiling, stir constantly and cook until mixture reaches 234°F (about 4–5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in white baking chips until melted and smooth.
  5. Add marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until thick and glossy.
  6. Transfer 2 cups of the mixture to a separate bowl (vanilla portion).
  7. Add orange extract and food coloring to the remaining mixture. Stir until evenly colored.
  8. Drop alternating spoonfuls of vanilla and orange fudge into the prepared pan.
  9. Use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the mixtures without overmixing.
  10. Let cool at room temperature, then refrigerate until firm.
  11. Lift out using parchment and cut into squares.

Notes

  • Use a candy thermometer for accurate texture.
  • Do not over-swirl to maintain visible pattern.
  • Gel food coloring provides best color without thinning.
  • Let fudge fully set before cutting for clean edges.
  • Store with parchment between layers to prevent sticking.
