Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread (about 40 cm long)
- 100 g unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 50 g grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up.
- Mix butter, garlic, parsley, olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano until smooth.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top if using.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for a crispier top.
- Remove, slice, and serve warm.
