Ingredients
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- Pinch of salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add salt and oil, then gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 45–60 minutes until doubled.
- Punch down dough and divide into 12 pieces.
- Roll each piece into breadstick shapes and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Let rest 15–20 minutes while preheating oven to 200°C.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, parsley, and salt.
Notes
- Ensure yeast is active for proper rising.
- Do not add too much flour to keep dough soft.
- Serve warm for best texture.
