Description

A simple and elegant dish featuring whole sea bass fried to golden perfection with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky interior.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole sea bass, cleaned and scaled
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse sea bass under cold water and pat completely dry.
  2. Make shallow diagonal cuts on both sides of each fish.
  3. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and lemon juice.
  4. Lightly coat fish with flour and shake off excess.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry fish for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  7. Add garlic to oil during frying if using.
  8. Remove fish and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ensure fish is dry before frying for crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Use hot oil to prevent sticking.
  • Cornmeal can replace flour for extra crunch.
