Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 blend preferred)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Cooking spray or 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Mini burger buns or slider rolls (optional)
- Burger sauce, for serving (optional)
- Lettuce leaves, pickles, and diced onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, Panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Fold in the shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, form the mixture into small 1-inch balls.
- Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet with space between each one.
- Lightly spray or brush the bites with olive oil.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, prepare the garlic Parmesan butter sauce by combining melted butter, garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Remove the bites from the oven and immediately toss or brush them with the garlic Parmesan butter sauce.
- Serve warm with burger sauce, ranch, ketchup, or inside mini buns with toppings if desired.
Notes
- Use an 80/20 beef blend for the juiciest texture.
- Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep the bites tender.
- These bites can be air-fried at 380°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
