Ingredients
- 400 g firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Press tofu for at least 15 minutes, then cut into cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, soy sauce, maple syrup, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
- Add tofu cubes and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Let tofu marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over tofu and toss lightly.
- Arrange tofu in a single layer on baking sheet.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and slightly crispy.
- Cool slightly and serve with optional garnish.
