Description

Garlic Butter Lobster Tails are tender, juicy, and baked with a rich garlic butter sauce, fresh lemon juice, and paprika for an elegant seafood dish that is surprisingly easy to prepare at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails, split and cleaned
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Extra melted butter, optional, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Place the split lobster tails on the prepared baking sheet with the meat facing up. Pat the meat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster meat, reserving a little for serving if desired.
  5. Bake the lobster tails for 10 to 12 minutes until the meat is opaque, firm, and lightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra warm butter sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the lobster or it may become tough and rubbery.
  • Frozen lobster tails should be fully thawed before cooking.
  • Add cayenne pepper or chili flakes for extra heat.
  • Fresh herbs like dill, thyme, or chives work well in the butter sauce.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, roasted vegetables, or warm bread.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
