Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced or cubed
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and slice potatoes into even pieces and slice onion thinly.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add potatoes in a single layer and cook undisturbed for a few minutes until golden.
- Add onions and gently mix.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
- Cook for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally until potatoes are crispy and tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

- Do not overcrowd the pan for better crispiness.
- Stir occasionally, not constantly, to allow browning.
- Parboil potatoes for faster cooking if desired.
- Add garlic or chili flakes for extra flavor.
