Description

A rich and indulgent chocolate protein cake with a moist texture, deep cocoa flavor, and a smooth chocolate ganache topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or neutral oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare an 8-inch cake pan.
  2. Mix oat flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, Greek yogurt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until a thick batter forms.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool cake for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  9. Heat cream and pour over dark chocolate to make ganache.
  10. Stir until smooth and spread over cooled cake.
  11. Let topping set before slicing and serving.
