Description

Crispy honey garlic chicken made with tender fried chicken pieces coated in a crunchy crust and tossed in a sweet, savory, and garlicky glaze.


Ingredients

  • For the chicken:
  • 500 g boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • For the sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional:
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Dip each piece into beaten eggs, then coat in cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil and fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a pan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, and garlic. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds and serve immediately.
