Description
Crispy Cheesy Kebabs are golden, crunchy, and flavorful meat kebabs made with ground chicken or beef, stuffed with melted cheese, coated in breadcrumbs, and fried until crisp. They are juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and perfect as an appetizer, snack, or main dish.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground chicken or ground beef
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, finely grated and squeezed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes or panko breadcrumbs (for coating)
- 2 tablespoons flour (for coating)
- 2 eggs, beaten (for coating)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat, mozzarella, cheddar, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, salt, paprika, black pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and chili flakes.
- Combine well until the mixture is firm and evenly mixed.
- Shape mixture into small oval kebabs or sticks.
- Prepare three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and crushed cornflakes or panko.
- Coat each kebab in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with crumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry kebabs for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Chilling the mixture before shaping helps kebabs hold their shape.
- Do not overfill with cheese to avoid leaking during frying.
- Air fryer or oven can be used for a lighter version.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing chili flakes.
- Use panko or cornflakes for extra crunch.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
