Description
This creamy yogurt jello dessert is a quick, high-protein treat made with just jello and Greek yogurt. Smooth, light, and custard-like, it’s a refreshing dessert or snack that comes together in minutes and can easily be customized with different flavors and toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 package (10g) jello mix, regular or sugar free, any flavor
- 1/2 to 1 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt, fat free or regular
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: fresh fruit for serving
- Optional: whipped topping for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the jello powder and 1/2 cup boiling water. Whisk thoroughly until the powder completely dissolves.
- Add 1/2 cup Greek yogurt to the warm jello mixture and whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Add the remaining 1 cup Greek yogurt and whisk again until no lumps remain.
- If desired, stir in vanilla extract for extra flavor.
- Pour the mixture evenly into 2 medium bowls or 4 small dessert cups.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until fully set.
- Serve chilled with fresh fruit or whipped topping if desired.
Notes
- Adding the yogurt gradually helps prevent curdling and keeps the texture smooth.
- Sugar-free jello can be used for a lower-calorie dessert.
- Vanilla Greek yogurt adds extra sweetness and flavor.
- Fresh berries pair especially well with strawberry or raspberry jello.
- Whole milk Greek yogurt creates a richer and creamier texture.
- Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezing is not recommended because the texture may separate after thawing.
- The dessert should have a smooth, creamy, custard-like consistency when fully set.
