Description

These Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls combine a creamy crab and cream cheese filling with a crispy golden egg roll wrapper for the ultimate savory appetizer. Perfect for parties, snacks, or family dinners, they deliver classic crab rangoon flavor with an extra crunchy twist.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 to 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • Oil for frying
  • Sweet chili sauce, for serving
  • Soy sauce or creamy dipping sauce, optional for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper until smooth and evenly mixed.
  2. Place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the side corners and roll tightly toward the top corner.
  5. Brush the top corner with egg wash and seal tightly.
  6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  7. Heat oil in a deep skillet or heavy pan over medium heat.
  8. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2 to 3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with sweet chili sauce or dipping sauces of choice.

  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until crispy.
  • Shredded mozzarella adds extra cheesy flavor.
  • Finely diced vegetables like carrots or bell peppers can be added to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispness.
