Description

These homemade chocolate truffles are rich, creamy, and easy to make with crushed chocolate cookies, cream cheese or condensed milk, and delicious coatings. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a quick no-bake dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies
  • 1 cup cream cheese or condensed milk
  • 200 g melted dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • Extra melted chocolate for drizzling (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chocolate cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Alternatively, crush them in a sealed bag using a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and add the cream cheese or condensed milk. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more cream cheese or condensed milk. If too sticky, add extra cookie crumbs.
  4. Scoop small portions of the dough and roll them into evenly shaped balls.
  5. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate in short microwave intervals or using a double boiler until smooth.
  7. Dip some truffles into the melted chocolate and let the excess drip off.
  8. Roll the remaining truffles in shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or chocolate sprinkles.
  9. Drizzle extra melted chocolate over the truffles if desired.
  10. Refrigerate for another 15 to 20 minutes before serving chilled.

Notes

  • Use milk chocolate for a sweeter flavor.
  • Add coffee powder for mocha-flavored truffles.
  • Keep truffles chilled for the best texture.
  • Freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
  • Decorate with festive sprinkles for celebrations.
  • Vanilla, almond, peppermint, or orange extracts can enhance flavor.
