Description

A classic Chicken Parmesan featuring crispy breaded chicken topped with rich tomato sauce and melted mozzarella for a comforting and flavorful dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half horizontally
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, and paprika.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
  6. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  7. Top each piece with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve.

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  • Bake instead of frying for a lighter version.
