Description

Delicate butter swirl cookies with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich buttery flavor, beautifully piped into elegant shapes.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (227 g, softened)
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar (60 g)
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (220 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter and icing sugar until light, fluffy, and pale.
  3. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add flour and mix gently until combined.
  5. Add milk and mix until dough is soft and pipeable.
  6. Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star nozzle.
  7. Pipe swirl shapes onto the prepared tray.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool completely before transferring to a rack.

Notes

  • Butter should be soft but not melted.
  • Do not overmix to keep cookies tender.
  • If dough is too stiff, add a little more milk.
  • Bake at low temperature for delicate texture.
  • Cool completely before handling to avoid breaking.
