Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp in a single layer and season with paprika, cayenne, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook another 1-2 minutes until pink and opaque.
  6. Add remaining butter, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Stir gently to coat shrimp in sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
