Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon nut butter (optional)
- 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a small baking dish or ramekin.
- In a blender, combine oats, milk, mashed banana, cocoa powder, maple syrup, baking powder, vanilla extract, nut butter, and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm.
Notes
- Use applesauce instead of banana for a milder flavor.
- Add protein powder and a bit more milk for extra protein.
- Mix in chopped nuts or berries for added texture.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
