Description

A creamy and comforting layered dessert made with vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, soft cake, and fluffy whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • Cold milk 2 cups
  • Instant vanilla pudding mix 1 package (3.4 oz)
  • Heavy whipping cream 2 cups
  • Powdered sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Ripe bananas 4 sliced
  • Sponge cake or pound cake 4 cups cubed
  • Vanilla wafers or biscuits 200 g

Instructions

  1. Prepare pudding with cold milk according to package instructions and refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  2. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. Fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding until smooth.
  4. Layer cake cubes in a trifle dish, followed by bananas, pudding mixture, and wafers.
  5. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Toss bananas in a little lemon juice to reduce browning.
  • Can substitute chocolate pudding for variation.
  • Best served chilled.
  • Store covered in refrigerator up to 2 days.
