Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and mashed bananas.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing gently.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For caramel, melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, then add cream and stir until smooth.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt.
- Pour warm caramel over slightly cooled cake.
