A simple and elegant baked salmon dish cooked in foil with asparagus and a flavorful lemon garlic butter sauce, resulting in tender and juicy fish.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (150–180 g each)
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and prepare foil sheets.
- Place asparagus on each foil sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season lightly.
- Place salmon fillets on top of asparagus.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, zest, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the mixture over the salmon and add lemon slices.
- Fold foil tightly to seal packets.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes.
- Carefully open packets and serve immediately.
Notes
- Seal foil היטghtly to keep moisture inside.
- Do not overcook to keep salmon tender.
- Use fresh lemon for best flavor.
- Can substitute vegetables like broccoli or green beans.
