Description
This whipped feta dip is a quick and creamy appetizer made with feta, Greek yogurt, lemon, and garlic. Tangy, savory, and endlessly versatile, it’s perfect for pairing with pita, veggies, or as a flavorful spread.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (from a block for best texture)
- 3/4 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove
- Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes, for garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Pita bread, baguette, or fresh vegetables, for serving
Instructions
- Add the crumbled feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic to a food processor.
- Pulse until smooth, creamy, and well blended.
- Transfer to a serving bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes.
- Top with chopped parsley and serve with pita, baguette, or fresh veggies.
Notes
- Use block feta for the best creamy consistency—pre-crumbled feta is often drier.
- For a milder garlic flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw.
- If dip thickens in the fridge, stir in a splash of olive oil or lemon juice before serving.
- Customize with herbs, honey, or Middle Eastern spices like za’atar.
