Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs or breasts (boneless and skinless)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes until smooth.
- Add chicken and coat thoroughly in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) or prepare a grill or pan.
- Place chicken on a lined baking tray or grill.
- Cook for 25–30 minutes in the oven or 6–7 minutes per side on a grill until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve.
Notes
- Use Greek yogurt for a thicker marinade; thin with a little liquid if needed.
- Add grated ginger for extra depth of flavor.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a golden finish.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
