Description
Tahini Molasses Brownies are an easy, indulgent twist on classic brownies, featuring a boxed brownie mix swirled with nutty tahini and rich date molasses for a flavorful, Middle Eastern-inspired upgrade that’s fast, fudgy, and deeply satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (18 oz / 510 g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (120 ml)
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 teaspoons tahini
- 1 teaspoon date molasses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water until smooth and fully combined.
- In a small bowl, stir together the tahini and date molasses until blended.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Spoon small dollops of the tahini mixture over the batter and swirl gently using a toothpick or skewer.
- Bake according to the package instructions (usually 25–30 minutes), or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use 1 tablespoon tahini for a more pronounced flavor.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before baking for texture.
- Swap date molasses with grape molasses or honey if needed.
- Use dark chocolate brownie mix for richer flavor.
- These freeze well for up to 2 months.
