Description
Stef’s Super Cheesy Garlic Bread is an ultra-rich, gooey side dish made with butter, mayonnaise, garlic, green onions, and two types of cheese, baked on crusty French bread and broiled until golden. Perfect for parties, dinners, or indulgent snacking.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ¼ cups Parmesan cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 (1-pound) loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, Parmesan, and Monterey Jack cheese. Stir until well blended.
- Cut the French bread halves into 4 smaller pieces for easier handling. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over each piece.
- Place the bread pieces on a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes until the cheese starts to melt.
- Switch the oven to broil on high. Broil for about 2 minutes until the topping is hot, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Add herbs like parsley or Italian seasoning for an herby variation.
- Use mozzarella or provolone for a different cheese flavor.
- Prepare ahead and refrigerate unbaked for up to 24 hours.
- Avoid microwaving leftovers to prevent sogginess; reheat in the oven instead.
- Use sour cream instead of mayo for a lighter option.
