Description

Spicy Garlic Noodles with Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish made with tender shrimp, aromatic garlic, and a spicy chili sauce tossed with noodles. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or satisfying lunches, ready in just 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
  • 2025 small shrimp, shelled and deveined (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon sambal oelek or your favorite chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 500 grams spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Finely chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chopped garlic and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant, but not burnt.
  3. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until they start to turn pink.
  4. Stir in sambal oelek and soy sauce, mixing well to coat the shrimp.
  5. Add cooked noodles, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 1–2 more minutes until everything is heated through and combined.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free alternative.
  • Adjust chili sauce to make it more or less spicy.
  • Add vegetables like bok choy or bell peppers for a more balanced meal.
  • Toss noodles with a little oil after cooking to prevent sticking.
