Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup neutral oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until well combined. Stir in mashed bananas.
- Add oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
- Use overripe bananas for maximum flavor and natural sweetness.
- Add chopped nuts or spices like cinnamon for variation.
- Replace half the milk with yogurt for extra richness.
- Can reduce sugar if bananas are very ripe.
