Description

Salted Chocolate Tahini Date Truffles are rich, no-bake treats made with wholesome ingredients like Medjool dates, tahini, and dark chocolate. Naturally sweet and indulgent, they’re perfect for snacking, gifting, or healthier dessert cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp oat flour
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Add dates, tahini, oat flour, and 1 tbsp water to a food processor. Blend until smooth and sticky. Add the second tbsp of water if needed to reach a pliable consistency. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.
  2. Melt dark chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir in coconut oil until smooth and glossy. Let cool slightly.
  3. Roll the chilled date mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Drizzle with remaining chocolate and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour to set the chocolate coating.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • Soak dates in warm water if they are too dry before processing.
  • Chill the date mixture before rolling to make shaping easier.
  • Let truffles warm slightly before dipping to prevent chocolate cracking.
  • Add cocoa powder or protein powder for a flavor or nutrition boost.
  • Top with crushed nuts, sesame seeds, or coconut for extra texture.
