A simple and flavorful roasted sweet potato dish with crispy edges, tender centers, and a warm blend of spices.
Ingredients
- 4 medium sweet potatoes (about 900 g), peeled and cut into 2 cm cubes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Peel and cube sweet potatoes into even-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, cinnamon, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Spread evenly in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and tender.
- Drizzle with honey or maple syrup during the last 5 minutes if desired.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the pan for crispier results.
