Description

A simple and flavorful roasted sweet potato dish with crispy edges, tender centers, and a warm blend of spices.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes (about 900 g), peeled and cut into 2 cm cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel and cube sweet potatoes into even-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, cinnamon, garlic powder, and thyme.
  4. Spread evenly in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and tender.
  6. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup during the last 5 minutes if desired.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • Do not overcrowd the pan for crispier results.
  • Add cornstarch for extra crunch.
