Description

These Resurrection Rolls are soft, golden pastries with a sweet cinnamon sugar coating and a hollow, caramel-like center. They are simple to make and perfect for spring celebrations or family baking.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 8 large marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Separate crescent dough into individual triangles.
  4. Dip each marshmallow into melted butter until fully coated.
  5. Roll marshmallow in cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  6. Place marshmallow on the wide end of each dough triangle and wrap tightly, sealing all edges.
  7. Place rolls seam side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Seal the dough well to prevent marshmallow from leaking.
  • Add nutmeg or cardamom for extra flavor.
  • Brush with honey after baking for added sweetness.
  • Top with glaze or nuts for variation.
  • Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate up to 4 days.
  • Reheat in oven to maintain texture.
