Description
These Resurrection Rolls are soft, golden pastries with a sweet cinnamon sugar coating and a hollow, caramel-like center. They are simple to make and perfect for spring celebrations or family baking.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
- 8 large marshmallows
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Separate crescent dough into individual triangles.
- Dip each marshmallow into melted butter until fully coated.
- Roll marshmallow in cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Place marshmallow on the wide end of each dough triangle and wrap tightly, sealing all edges.
- Place rolls seam side down on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Seal the dough well to prevent marshmallow from leaking.
- Add nutmeg or cardamom for extra flavor.
- Brush with honey after baking for added sweetness.
- Top with glaze or nuts for variation.
- Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate up to 4 days.
