Description
A juicy, seasoned beef burger topped with melted mozzarella, crispy pepperoni, and rich pizza sauce — this pizza burger brings together two classic comfort foods in one delicious bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus more if desired)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 8–12 slices pepperoni
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties, pressing a shallow dimple in the center of each.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with mozzarella and pepperoni. Cover to melt cheese.
- Toast buns lightly. Spread pizza sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place the burger patties on the sauced buns, add extra pepperoni or sauce if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the beef mixture to keep patties tender.
- For extra flavor, mix in chopped pepperoni or sausage with the ground beef.
- Customize toppings like mushrooms, onions, or jalapeños.
