Description

Pepperoni Pull Apart Bread is a cheesy, buttery appetizer made with layers of biscuit dough, garlic butter, melty cheese, and mini turkey pepperoni. Baked until golden and soft, it’s the perfect shareable snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup (113 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (56.5 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mini turkey pepperoni, plus more for topping
  • Warm pizza sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Reserve 1/4 cup for topping.
  4. Separate the biscuits and split each horizontally to make 16 thin layers.
  5. Dip each biscuit layer into the garlic butter to coat.
  6. Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of cheese and a heaping tablespoon of mini pepperoni onto each layer.
  7. Stack the layers into two stacks of eight and place horizontally into the prepared pan.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  9. Remove foil, sprinkle with reserved cheese and extra pepperoni, and bake an additional 25 minutes or until deep golden brown and fully baked.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with parsley and serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Cover with foil to prevent over-browning during the first half of baking.
  • Use chopped regular pepperoni if mini is unavailable.
  • Add crushed red pepper or Italian seasoning to the garlic butter for extra flavor.
  • To make vegetarian, swap pepperoni for sautéed vegetables.
  • Assemble up to 6 hours in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
