Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (about 15.25 oz)
- Ingredients required on the cake mix box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 6–8 cookies, filling included)
- 1/4 cup crushed Oreo cookies (for topping, optional)
- 1/4 cup melted chocolate or chocolate drizzle (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to the package instructions.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan and spread it smoothly.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cake springs back lightly when touched.
- While the cake is still warm, carefully turn it out onto a clean kitchen towel dusted lightly with powdered sugar.
- Gently peel off the parchment paper, then roll the cake up with the towel from the short end. Let it cool completely while rolled.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Once the cake is completely cool, carefully unroll it.
- Spread the Oreo cream filling evenly over the cake, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll the cake back up tightly without the towel.
- Transfer to a serving plate, drizzle with melted chocolate if desired, and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreos.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
