Description

Nutella Crunch Wontons are crispy, golden pockets filled with creamy Nutella, perfect for a quick and indulgent dessert. Fried or air-fried to perfection and topped with powdered sugar or chocolate drizzle, they’re a fun treat for parties or sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Nutella, about ½ to 1 teaspoon per wonton
  • 1 egg, whisked (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Optional toppings:

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Melted chocolate or warm Nutella, for drizzling
  • Strawberries or banana slices, for serving
  • Vanilla ice cream, optional

Instructions

  1. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place ½ to 1 teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each.
  2. Brush edges with egg wash. Fold into triangles or envelopes and press to seal, removing air pockets. Crimp edges with a fork if desired.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry 4–5 wontons at a time for 30–45 seconds per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Air Fryer Option: Spray wontons lightly with oil. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes until crisp.
  5. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with melted chocolate or warm Nutella.
  6. Serve warm with fresh fruit or ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Fry in small batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure even cooking.
  • Seal edges tightly to prevent Nutella from leaking.
  • Customize fillings with banana, strawberry, or hazelnuts.
  • Roll in cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.
  • Use dark chocolate spread for a less sweet alternative.
