Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 tablespoon crushed almonds
- 1 tablespoon crushed pistachios
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
- 2 teaspoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 8–10 saffron strands, soaked in 1 tablespoon warm milk
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add crushed almonds and pistachios. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until aromatic, stirring frequently.
- Pour in the milk, sugar, and the soaked saffron (with soaking milk).
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 4–5 minutes.
- Add cardamom powder (if using) and stir well.
- Turn off the heat and serve warm in mugs or heatproof glasses.
