Description

This melon smoothie, made with cantaloupe or honeydew, is a refreshing, creamy, and dairy-free drink perfect for summer. With banana for smoothness and walnuts for added richness, it’s a nutritious and energizing choice for breakfast or a midday snack.

Ingredients

1 ripe banana, peeled and halved

2/3 cup cantaloupe or honeydew melon chunks

1/4 cup shelled walnuts

1 cup almond milk (or cashew milk)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the melon by cutting it in half, scooping out the seeds, and trimming away the skin. Cut into chunks until you have 2/3 cup.
  2. Add melon chunks, banana, walnuts, almond milk, vanilla extract, and ice to a blender.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen melon and banana for a thicker, colder smoothie.
  • Substitute walnuts with other nuts or omit for a nut-free version.
  • Add a Medjool date or a touch of maple syrup for extra sweetness.
  • Oat milk or dairy milk can be used instead of almond milk.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours and shake before serving.
